Level 3

Born in Paris and based in Berlin, Camille Henrot is an artist whose poetic work explores global power structures that shape society and our most private psychological impulses. Working across diverse media including sculpture, drawing, video and installation, Henrot invites us into her curious investigations of literature, anthropology, mythology and religion.

On the opening weekend of Camille Henrot: Is Today Tomorrow NGV Curator of Contemporary Art Pip Wallis introduces the exhibition which includes new works on paper, Henrot’s celebrated installation The Pale Fox, and Interphones, a series of interactive telephone sculptures that ask visitors, ‘Would you ever have sex at work?’, ‘Is Google right about you?’ and ‘Are you gluten-free?’
