The self-published Hero Man follows the lives of a group of Power Ranger–type crime fighters and aspects of their lives including crime fighting, training, office renovations, browsing the internet and practising painting and drawing.
Speaker
Jimmy Tran is an emerging painter and drawer specialising in the creation of artist zines. A graphic novelist at heart, he is influenced by imagery from Japan and Japanese art, including traditional woodblock prints. He has a fluid graphic style that carries the reader through narratives that transition between banality and dynamic action sequences. Tran has worked in the Arts Project Australia studio since 2016, and his work is in private collections in Australia.
