Kim Taeryeong is an artist and publisher of art books. In early 2020 she travelled from Korea to Melbourne. Since her arrival, she has observed and captured many elements of change, including the significant impacts of the COVID pandemic. During the time, she has taken photos of the sky and the city and collected stories of people who she met. The story begins with her personal journey of discovering the colourful face of a city that is in the midst of strange times due to the pandemic. As the story develops, she connects with others who are sharing this life. She has captured this in her new book, The Stars. 

The Stars will be on display for the duration of the Melbourne Art Book Fair weekend at Paperback Bookshop. The publication with also be available to purchase. To celebrate the launch of the book, artist and author, Kim Taeryeong, will be present in the shop and eager to meet all that are interested.
