Why are watermarks of interest to paper conservators and print scholars, and what insights can be gained from studying them?

NGV conservators introduce Members to the NGV’s collection of Albrecht Dürer works on paper, discussing the significance of the collection and the intricacies of paper-making, watermarks and their symbolism.

This talk will be delivered online exclusively for NGV Members.

The study of the Durer watermarks in the NGV Collection was made possible through the support of Dr Susanne Pearce.
