Booked out

Often the first step in the creative process for a designer is putting pen to paper to sketch out an idea.

Drawing inspiration from the pieces on display in The Krystyna Campbell-Pretty Fashion Gift, Members are invited to learn the techniques and skills of fashion illustration in an after-hours workshop led by designer and illustrator Angie Réhe.

Techniques for sketching from the mannequin and sketching onto fashion figures will be demonstrated and guests will leave with a small collection of original artworks.

Facilitator

Angie Réhe is a Melbourne-based fashion illustrator and educator whose work celebrates her love of both art and fashion, having worked for some time as a fashion designer. Her work has been sought by clients including Vogue, Elle, Harpers Bazaar, L’Officiel and Jimmy Choo.

Outcomes

  1. Learn how to sketch from the mannequin and capture the most important details.
  2. Develop skills in sketching designs onto fashion figures and capturing the era and essence of the design.
  3. Learn how to work with coloured pencils for a range of outcomes.
