The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), in partnership with The Museum of Modern Art, New York (MoMA), presents MoMA at NGV: 130 Years of Modern and Contemporary Art as the 2018 Melbourne Winter Masterpieces exhibition. The exhibition opens on 9 June 2018.
Featuring over 200 works from MoMA’s collection, the exhibition explores changes in art and design from late 19th century urban and industrial transformation through to the digital and global present. These developments will be traced through the work of a range seminal modern and contemporary artists, from Pablo Picasso, to Jackson Pollock and Cindy Sherman.
In advance of the opening of MoMA at NGV, educators are invited to attend a free briefing about the exhibition by Miranda Wallace, Senior Curator, International Exhibition Projects, NGV. The briefing provides valuable insights into the exhibition to assist educators planning a visit with students.
