For Friday Nights, Waxflower steps in as guest curator, bringing its fine‑tuned approach to down‑tempo live music and late‑night vinyl selections, shaped by soulful jazz and warm grooves. Waxflower is a much‑loved Brunswick East listening bar known for its commitment to high‑quality audio and carefully curated music programming.
Live Performance: OJ KUSH
OJ KUSH was formed to celebrate the unique and innovative experience that arises when musicians come together and exchange musical expression in the spirit of improvisation. Their sound is made up of multiple musicians, combining organic sounds with modern twists resulting in unique one-off performances.
DJ: Walter Majik
Walter Majik, also known as Jimmy, is resident DJ at Waxflower and one of the minds behind the venue’s music direction. A co‑founder of Kyoku Records, his sets draw from deep vinyl knowledge, weaving together 90s grooves and rare selections to create warm, worldly, late‑night dancefloor moments.

Experience the elegance and exhilaration of CARTIER at NGV this winter. Opening exclusively in Melbourne, the exhibition features nearly 400 extraordinary jewellery objects, alongside rare archival materials. Explore pieces owned by royalty and Hollywood stars alike, within a breathtaking original exhibition design, produced in collaboration with Dutch design practices Studio Sabine Marcelis and CLOUD. The exhibition has been created by the V&A, London, in partnership with the National Gallery of Victoria and in collaboration with Cartier and will feature loans from private and institutional collections across Europe, the United States and Asia, alongside highlights from the Cartier Heritage Collection.
Garden Access
The NGV Garden is closed while we build The Fox: NGV Contemporary and a brand new 18,000 square metre urban garden, Laak Boorndap.
