Step back in time to 19th century France with your friends and explore Melbourne Winter Masterpieces® French Impressionism from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. This exhibition features groundbreaking art of its time by artists Monet, Renoir, Cassatt, Manet and more.
As a group of young artists living and working in Paris, their art was rejected by the establishment. They lived in share houses, painted outdoors, held their own art exhibitions and created Impressionism – a radical style of painting that aimed to capture the atmosphere of everyday life.
