Connection, Community and Culture

Join NGV curators, Amanda Dunsmore and Kate Ryan, for an in-conversation presentation as they explore the history and social etiquette of drinking tea in the eighteenth century. Discover the NGV’s rich collection of tea wares from England and the Continent that illustrate the social importance of this golden elixir during the period.

Enjoy a glass of Yering Station sparkling wine on arrival and ‘high tea’ served to you on fine Wedgwood porcelain. High tea includes tiered stands of savoury and sweet treats, ribbon sandwiches and scones with jam and cream, specially prepared by Andreas Gober, Head Chef, Restaurant Associates. Guests will each take home a canister of signature blend Monista Tea.

The event features a raffle, and beautiful floral table centrepieces created by Flowers Vasette that will be available for purchase on the day.

You are welcome to organise a table of friends or attend individually.
