Local artist Filomena Coppola leads a morning drawing session beneath Cai Guo-Qiang’s monumental installation Murmuration (Landscape), a flock of 10,000 porcelain starlings described by Cai Guo-Qiang as the ‘souls of the warriors in the sky’.
Working with pencil, explore the tonal range of light and dark and create evocative works that draw inspiration from the texture and detail of Cai Guo-Qiang’s installation.
Participants are invited to a private viewing of Terracotta Warriors: Guardians of Immortality and Cai Guo-Qiang: The Transient Landscape from 8–9am, before the drawing session begins.
Suitable for all skill levels, materials provided.
