Noted for their experimental and playful approaches, Surrealist artists sought to challenge artistic conventions, opening their work up to unexpected results. Parlour games were a perfect way for artists to explore elements of chance, unpredictability and group collaboration.

Test your luck on Friday the 13th at an exclusive evening of art making, creative exchange and intimate conversations in the heart of the Lurid Beauty exhibition space.

Hosted by comedian and writer Tegan Higginbotham, for one night the gallery will recreate parlour evenings of the past, including a curator’s talk and artist-led Surrealist drawing activities.
