Debris Magazine is a story-driven magazine that finds depth and inspiration from the human condition. Each issue features fiction, creative nonfiction, artist conversations, poetry, reviews and a photo essay. Debris Magazine was founded on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. We pay respect to all Indigenous people, past, present, and future.

Cher Tan
Cher Tan is an essayist and critic. She is an editor at LIMINAL, the reviews editor at Meanjin, and a book columnist at ABC Arts. Her debut essay collection, Peripathetic: Notes on (Un)belonging, is forthcoming with NewSouth Publishing in 2024.
Jon Tjhia
Jon Tjhia (Naarm/Melbourne) is an artist, writer and editor working through radio and podcast, literature, photomedia, music and publishing. His recent work is published by Un Magazine, LIMINAL, the Powerhouse Museum, Avantwhatever and WFMU. He’s a member of the Manus Recording Project Collective and a co-founder of Paper Radio.
Scott Limbrick
Scott’s short stories have appeared in Griffith Review, Electric Literature, Going Down Swinging, Westerly, The Suburban Review, the Furphy Anthology, Kill Your Darlings’ New Australian Fiction and elsewhere. His collection was shortlisted for the Richell Prize.
Nayuka Gorrie
Nayuka Gorrie is a Gunnai/Kurnai, Gunditjmara, Wiradjuri and Yorta Yorta screenwriter and essayist.
Justin Clemens
Justin Clemens is a writer. Recent books include the poetry collection A Foul Wind (Hunter 2022) and Barron Field in NSW (Melbourne UP 2023), co-written with Thomas H. Ford. With A.J. Bartlett and Bryan Cooke, he podcasts as The Barron Field Experience. He teaches at the University of Melbourne.
