The banquet of Cleopatra, c. 1743-44, portrays a contest between two of the most powerful rulers in the ancient world Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt, and Marc Antony, a Roman general. Who wins? Discover this, and more, as we search for clues in one the most famous paintings in the National Gallery of Victoria.
