150 year, Rorschach

When you look at this picture, what do you see? This is a question you might hear when taking a Rorschach test, a psychological test that involves looking at an inkblot and explaining what you can see within it. It’s also the question Ben Quilty asks when viewers look at his painting, 150 year, Rorschach, 2019. This week, examine the painting closely, learn about what inspired its creation and come up with your own ways of interpreting what you see within it.

Duration: 15 mins

Cost: Free
