How can art enhance wellbeing literacy? Develop skills to empower students to recognise, understand and articulate their thoughts, emotions and experiences through creative expression. In this full-day program, participants are invited to engage in a variety of hands-on artmaking, discussion and reflection activities in the Gallery and the studios. Discover evidence-based approaches to create positive, inclusive learning environments. This program supports outcomes in the Personal and Social Capability curriculum.

Morning tea and lunch will be provided. Please indicate any dietary requirements or restrictions when booking.

Learning Objectives 

  • Define wellbeing literacy and build confidence in supporting students to develop language skills that describe personal and collective wellbeing.
  • Apply practical strategies to engage students in recognising, understanding, and evaluating the expression of emotions through art.
  • Participate in creative activities designed to help students better understand the connection between their physical body and emotional wellbeing.
