Sharing Their Stories: Women Collectors of Impressionism and the MFA

In this richly illustrated program, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA) Historian Maureen Melton shares profiles of some of the MFA’s most important donors of Impressionist art.

This virtual presentation, filmed in the Museum’s galleries, explores the key role that women collectors played in the development of the MFA’s renowned Impressionist collection. Artists and activists, social reformers and suffragists, the lives of these bold and generous women offer new perspectives on French Impressionism from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
