Your accessible pre-visit guide to the CARTIER exhibition, with information on navigation and layout, ticketing and sensory environments.
The exhibition runs from 12 June to 4 October 2026.
CARTIER is on display at NGV International, 180 St Kilda Road, Melbourne.
The exhibition is open between 10am and 5pm daily from 12 June to 4 October 2026.

It’s free to enter the NGV and see the Collection, but visitors need to buy a ticket to attend the CARTIER exhibition.

Ticket prices:
Exhibition tickets are for a specific time. You will be able to select an entry time when booking your ticket. You can stay inside the exhibition for as long as you wish, or until the Gallery closes at 5pm.
The exhibition follows a set path. Once you enter the exhibition, you won’t be able to come and go unless you need a bathroom or a break for disability or health reasons. If you do need to leave and come back in, you can exit through the exhibition entrance and let the security team member know that you will be coming back in.
Children of all ages are warmly welcomed in the exhibition.
The NGV recognises the Companion Card and the Carer Card.
Companion Card holders receive concession-priced tickets to all exhibitions and programs for themselves and a complimentary ticket for their companion. Complimentary tickets for companions can be collected from the Information Desk at the Gallery and do not need to be booked in advance, even if tickets are sold out for that session.
Carer Card holders receive concession-priced tickets to all exhibitions and programs.
CARTIER is on display on the Ground Level of NGV International.
The entrance to NGV International is on street level and has an automatic door.
There is a lift from the Arts Centre Melbourne car park to the NGV International entrance.
The exhibition and all public areas in the NGV, including the Gallery Kitchen, Garden Restaurant and NGV Design Store, are wheelchair accessible.

There are accessible and gender-neutral bathrooms on all levels of NGV International.
A dedicated parents’ room provides a quiet space for families, and includes a microwave, a private feeding space and baby-change facilities.

A Changing Places bathroom is located nearby, approximately 300 metres from NGV International at Arts Centre Melbourne’s Hamer Hall.
Accredited assistance dogs are welcome at the NGV.
Please ensure your assistance dog is wearing their jacket or harness while at the Gallery.
Access aids including self-regulation fidget devices, disposable earplugs, magnifying sheets and coloured overlays are available for free hire from the Information Desk.

The exhibition features jewellery objects, plus archival materials, video and photography content. One artwork depicts smoking.
The CARTIER exhibition presents an immersive experience using mirrors and reflective surfaces, lighting effects, large moving-image screens and a soundtrack that plays at a heightened volume in some places. Some gallery spaces have low lighting.
Gallery areas are air-conditioned, maintaining a temperature between 20 and 24 degrees Celsius.

Bench seating is available throughout the exhibition.
Lightweight fold-out stools are available for free hire from the Information Desk and can be taken into exhibition spaces.
The event series NGV Friday Nights offers evening access to the CARTIER exhibition and dining, bars and live music residencies and pop-up performances each Friday of the exhibition period. You will need an NGV Friday Nights ticket to attend these events.
Relaxed Sessions are an opportunity for visitors who would benefit from a quieter Gallery experience to access the exhibition with fewer people and reduced sensory stimuli. This may include people with neurodivergence, disability, dementia, mental health or chronic illness. All ages are welcome. Booking is required.
A Deaf-led tour of CARTIER will be offered in Auslan, without English interpretation, during an NGV Friday Nights event.
Free Auslan interpretation of events is available upon request. Please contact us online, allowing a minimum of one week’s notice.
Access the artwork labels online on your device and adjust them to suit your viewing needs. Printed copies and iPads will be available for free hire from the Information Desk, within a few weeks of the exhibition opening.
