As an ambitious publisher, the National Gallery of Victoria invests in unique and extensive scholarship on Australian, international and Indigenous art. The range of illustrated publications it produces extends to all disciplines of fine art and design, encompassing NGV exhibition and collection titles, artist monographs, limited editions, scholarly volumes, children’s titles, gift books, online essays, ebooks and digital publishing.

The NGV prides itself on the high production values and innovative design of its books and is the largest museum art book publisher in the Southern Hemisphere.

The NGV has collaborated with many prestigious international partners, including the Musée Marmottan Monet, Paris, the Guggenheim Museum, New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and the Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid, among others, to produce significant art publications.
