Physical description
Four squares each a different colour, red, dark green, pink, light green have been patched together to compose one large shawl. Embroidery radiates from the centre of the shawl, at this point the different coloured clothes are clearly visible. Beyond the central motif the embroidered paisley motif becomes extremely dense. An inner band of pattern is composed at a small scale, graduating to an outer band of large scale paisley motifs, and embroidered, repeat framing motifs. The outer most border is composed of embroidered patches, fringed on the open edge in alternating colours of black, white, pink, light blue, pale green and yellow.
