Physical description
Baluster form with trumpet mouth; squirrel on branch with two peaches, reverse with poem and four seals, grid foot band with dots. The poem on the vase is in the form of two lines with seven characters in each line and is some form of couplet. Read from right to left and top to bottom, can be roughly translated: Peaceful mountain fruits ripen [in] excellent branches to taste Five skills why not use the best The design on the rim are so called ruyi 如意 symbols meaning 'go with your wishes or may your wishes come true'.
