Australian First Nations female designers are becoming leaders in their field by appropriately and sensitively incorporating a legacy of Indigenous cultural design and design principles into fashion. This panel features independent designers who are taking an active role in the development and realisation of their own fashion, jewellery or accessory products. The discussion will explore how these designers and entrepreneurs are using their lines to create a platform to empower their communities, giving visibility to First Nations design sovereignty and aesthetics, and reshaping the landscape of Australian fashion.
