Families can join Taungurung artist and author Cassie Leatham with her pet native budgie Mr Beaky for a reading of their new book An Important Message from Mr Beaky.  

In this session children will hear a story about what it means to be an Aboriginal person in Australia today and listen to Mr Beaky say some words in Taungurung language. Children can then channel their inner news reporter and ask Mr Beaky questions in a celebrity style press conference.  What’s Mr Beaky’s favourite game? You’re about to find out!
