February – June
Yvette Coppersmith is an Australian painter who specialises in portraiture and still life. In 2018 she won the Archibald Prize with a self-portrait in the style of George Lambert. Coppersmith was born in Melbourne in 1980 and studied at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia. She was a finalist in the Archibald Prize four times (in 2008, 2009, 2016 and 2017) before winning in 2018. Her other portraits have included paintings of Rupert Myer, Rosemary Balmford, Gillian Triggs and John Safran.

Christopher LG Hill lives and works in Melbourne and was co-founder of artist-run space and studios Y3K. He has participated in, and organised, exhibitions including Yummy Fantasy, Gertrude Contemporary, Melbourne; CDJ, Te Tuhi Centre for the Arts, Auckland; Fury Road, Appendix Project Space, Portland, United States; The Third/Fourth Melbourne Artist Facilitated Biennial, Margaret Lawrence Gallery, Melbourne; and Regimes of Value, The Substation, Melbourne. In 2010 he participated in No Soul for Sale, an international exhibition of grassroots artist-run spaces and activity curated by Maurizio Cattelan at Tate Modern, London. He is a seasonal lecturer at the VCA where he has been teaching for nine years.
