“It’s a new era in fashion – there are no rules.”
– Alexander McQueen

Get ready to rock in the Great Hall in a pop-punk music performance for kids by musicians Shiny Coin.

For Kids Summer Festival lead singer and early childhood educator Sharni Coyne has enlisted the help of her kindergarten students to write songs inspired by the rebels of punk music and Alexander McQueen’s shared rebellious natures in celebration of exhibition Alexander McQueen: Mind, Mythos, Muse.

Sharni Coyne, Mino Peric, Shamus McGrath and Cale Antonello are Shiny Coin, a four piece band from Melbourne who write short and sharp garage-pop songs about love, friendship and dogs. After being a firm part of Melbourne’s music scene for 10 years, the band have recently begun bringing their catchy tunes to young music fans.
