Physical description
Head and shoulders of a young man. Rectangular panel, rounded over the top, although all the edges except the base are chipped. The portrait is painted front on with the young man looking straight ahead. All the features of the figure are drawn in strong outline. His tunic is white with two red shoulder bands, his skin is brownish-orange and he has large, dark brown eyes with short black-brown hair and eyebrows. The lines around his neck are particularly pronounced. The eyes and face are outlined in black, as is the central line through the lips. The background is grey-blue. The decoration ends approximately three centimetres from the bottom of the panel, which is unprimed.
