Physical description
White cotton lawn, with round neckline trimmed with a lace collar and three lawn panels finished with white embroidered cotton braid. Full sleeves, with lace and braid ruffle cuff. Short bodice, with long full skirt gathered from the top. Front panel has alternating bands of lace and pin tucks with lace ruffle at either side, which runs the full length of the gown. Several alternating panels of lace and pin tucking above hem, which is trimmed with lace ruffle. Fastening at centre back with two shell buttons and two cotton tape drawstrings.
