NGV International showcases the Gallery’s outstanding Collection of International art, from ancient artefacts to the latest in contemporary art and design. Throughout the year, the Gallery also presents a dynamic program of temporary exhibitions.

The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia is the home of Australian art, presenting Indigenous and non-Indigenous historical and contemporary art and design. It is a spectacular showcase comprising over 20 gallery spaces housed within Melbourne’s iconic Fed Square.
NGV Australia presents work of major artists and designers across the historical, social and cultural contexts that have helped shape Australian art history. It is also home to NGV’s extensive collection of art made by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The Indigenous collection charts the evolution of contemporary Indigenous art throughout all regions of Australia and across materials and media.
