Share in a child’s early art experiences and discover artworks from the NGV Collection together with online sessions designed for children aged 2 – 5 years and their parents or carers. Families can enjoy a discussion about an artwork, followed by an art-making demonstration.
The Hermannsburg Potters belong to a small community 130 kilometres south-west of Alice Springs. They are famous for their colourful terracotta pots which tell stories about their culture and where they live: their country, the mission days, bush tucker and football! In this program, children discover how The Hermannsburg Potter’s country and history have inspired their art and learn about the game of Marngrook and some Western Arrernte words.
Facilitated by Stephanie Pohlman, Youth and Families Coordinator and Kayla Clinch, Children’s Programs Administration Assistant, NGV Kids.
