This scene is taken / from the camping ground at the entrance to the Gully. The residence in the centre of the picture is that of the / Forest-keeper, Mr. Kennedy, who has charge of the Dandenong State Forest. The trees on the hill at the back of / the residence, through apparently diminutive, are in reality gigantic ones, measuring in many instances from 15 to / 20 feet in circumference at the base.
