The NGV Garden comes alive as we celebrate the best of Melbourne music, food, bars and entertainment with expanded seating and picnic areas to enjoy. Grab a drink, a bite to eat and enjoy music every weekend from 12–5pm in the garden as the NGV presents a line-up of local Melbourne musicians, bands and DJs on the Triennial Stage.
12–1pm
Trained in classical piano, jazz and improvisation (VCA), Melbourne based pianist and keyboardist Louise Goh leads a band comprising musicians Craig Strain (bass), Gideon Brazil (saxophones and flute) and Arron Light (drums) to showcase her original contemporary jazz compositions. Louise released her album It’s the Little Things in 2019 and is a core member of the multi-award-winning cabaret act, Yana Alana and The Paranas. Expect to hear music with a strong lyrical focus, and an emphasis on fusion-style rhythm and groove. Be part of this special experience of ‘music making in the moment’ as Louise leads this group of masterful improvisers and performers.

When two of the country’s busiest DJs united to become IN2STELLAR, incredible things started to happen. DJ Sarah and Georgia Bird quickly solidified their place in the flourishing Melbourne scene and became a welcome addition to club and festival line-ups all over the country, becoming familiar faces on large scale festival line ups like Pitch Music and Arts Festival and Splendour In the Grass.
