printed in ink on support reverse c.: VIEWS OF VICTORIA. / (GENERAL SERIES.) / No. 39. / WATERFALL SCENE NEAR THE BUCHAN RIVER. / The Buchan River is a tributary of the great Snowy River, which extends itself from Port Ricardo, on the / Gipps Land coast, to considerably beyond Mt. Kosciusko, in New South Wales. It is comparatively but a stream, / but, like most of the smaller rivers in Victoria, it contains some beautiful scenery, peculiar to itself. Our present / illustration is characteristic of its scenery, and is taken from a creek close to the River.
