This world-exclusive exhibition features more than 160 works on paper by Francisco Goya, celebrating the artist’s extraordinary imagination. Goya is considered to be one of the first truly modern artists. Through humorous observations, depictions of society at the time, and surreal flights of fantasy, Goya presents a vision of humanity that had no equivalent in the art of his day.

We are delighted to exclusively share with you, online access to the extraordinary publication Goya: Drawings from the Prado Museum.

This publication presents 170 works by Goya, including drawings from the artist’s earliest albums of social satires and pages from the late albums, which contain some of his most complex and surreal images. The images are accompanied by essays detailing Goya’s life and his exploration of issues that continue to resonate with contemporary audiences, such as corruption, relations between the sexes, and the primacy of individual experience.
