Contemporary technologies continue to offer new possibilities for making art.  Using the NGV Collection as inspiration, this workshop will provide skills and knowledge to support students to respond to and develop artworks through creative uses of technology.

Bring your computer and a sense of adventure.  No prior experience necessary.

This event will be facilitated by Digital Learning and Teaching Victoria (DLTV) and the NGV. It has been made possible through Google Education Grants.

Learning Objectives 

  • Develop a basic understanding of block coding and how it might be used to create artworks
  • Learn skills and techniques for building students’ visual literacy and knowledge and understanding of creative practice
  • Explore how physical computing (interactive systems that sense and respond to the real world) can be used to enhance creative expression
