La Broderie

Berthe Morisot was a French artist and a member of a group of painters who became known as the Impressionists. Her painting, La Broderie, 1889, shows her observations of daily life and the social expectations of her time. This week, get a glimpse of what life was like for women in Paris in the late 1800s and discover how Morisot came to paint this intimate scene.
