What can we learn about the Pharaohs and life in ancient Egypt through ten historical objects? Bring the reign of ancient Pharaohs into your classroom with an online talk and unearth the past using technologies of the present! This lively, interactive introduction to the exhibition is perfect for groups unable to attend the Gallery in person, or groups who would like an introduction to the exhibition prior to their visit.

Duration: 45 Minutes

Cost: $45 per connection. A private, tailored session can be booked for your school for $150.

Students will:

  • Identify ancient Egyptian objects and examine how they communicate ideas from the past.
  • Analyse and discuss what historic artefacts communicate about the perspectives of the people of ancient Egypt and their ideas, beliefs and values.
  • Describe how art and design can be used to express ideas.
