What are the origins of French Impressionism? Who were the key figures and what ideas and subjects were important to them? How did their art differ from the work of earlier artists? This interactive talk introduces the key themes in French Impressionism, and includes an analysis and discussion of the influences, techniques and materials in selected paintings and prints.
