Observations: Women in Art and Design History is a groundbreaking NGV publication produced to accompany the 2022 online series of the same name and features more than 20 international specialist authors sharing their knowledge of key artists, makers and works in the NGV Collection. The publication also recently received an award for history at the 2023 International Book Awards.  

In this after-hours event just for NGV Members and guests, learn more about the featured artists and designers with an exclusive discussion and tour of the Collection, led by NGV curators Amanda Dunsmore and Laurie Benson.  

Starting with a welcome over wine and cheese in the Members Lounge, NGV curators will guide guests through multiple locations in the NGV Collection galleries, to see some of the internationally significant works examined in the publication up close. You will also receive a copy of the award-winning publication.
