What is design? What do designers do? This virtual program unpacks how designers solve problems, present possibilities, tell stories, and imagine the future. Discover design as a process and a way of thinking that shapes the world we live in.
This program will be facilitated by an NGV Educator.

• Define ‘design’ and the role of a designer.
• Discuss examples of design processes using examples in the NGV Collection from different historical, social and cultural contexts.
• Discuss ethical, environmental, and social considerations which inform design choices.
• Evaluate different factors which influence design.
