Slawa: modernist art and design
Presented by Duldig Studio

Duldig Studio Museum & Sculpture Garden

Slawa: modernist art and design is an exhibition of modernist émigré, Slawa Duldig’s work – including prototypes, designs, art and modernist furniture. Duldig was one of very few female inventors in Austria during the early twentieth century. She is most well known for her folding umbrella design.  From asking the simple question, ‘Why on earth must I carry this clumsy thing?’ she used her art training, initiative and commitment to see through a design solution that has endured for generations demonstrating lasting social impact and relevance.

Duldig Studio Museum and Sculpture Garden are hosting a special Saturday event to celebrate the opening of Slawa: modernist art and design. The event will include a guided tour around the studio and the exhibition.
