Types of Tickets
Timed entry
General admission exhibition ticket with a specific entry time and date.
Timed exhibition tickets do not permit entry into NGV Friday Nights or any other ticketed programs or events.
Flexible entry
Visit the exhibition at any time on the day of your ticket during regular opening hours.
Flexible ticket holders may enter the exhibition via the priority access queue.

NGV Friday Nights
Friday Nights tickets include unlimited entry to the CARTIER exhibition from 6–10pm each Friday, as well as live music, activities and performances. Drinks and food are available to purchase at an additional cost.
Member
Members receive discounted and priority entry to NGV ticket exhibitions and NGV Friday Nights.
Premium Members receive unlimited and complimentary access to all NGV exhibitions, show your Membership card to staff at the exhibition entrance.
Companion Cards and Carer Cards
The NGV recognises the Companion Card and the Carer Card.
Companion Card holders receive concession-priced tickets to all exhibitions and programs for themselves and a complimentary ticket for their companion. Complimentary tickets for companions can be collected from the Information Desk at the Gallery and do not need to be booked in advance, even if tickets are sold out for that session.
Carer Card holders receive concession-priced tickets to all exhibitions and programs.
Concession
Concession ticket prices are available to Australian Pensioners, Veterans Affairs, full-time students and Health Care Card holders.
Australian Seniors Card discounts are available on Wednesdays only.
Family
One ticket allowing entry for a family of up to two adults and three children. Children aged 5–15 require a ticket. Entry is free for children under 5 and they do not require a ticket.
Special Joint Ticket Offers
Buy a ticket to CARTIER for a specific date and time and enjoy discounted single-entry access to Ragnar Kjartansson: Mercy or Margaret Preston on any date of the respective exhibition term.
Opening Hours
The exhibition is open daily 10am–5pm and Friday nights 6–10pm (with NGV Friday Nights ticket).
Can you buy tickets at the door?
Tickets are available at the ticketing desk onsite, based on availability. To ensure a smooth entry process, pre-book your tickets from the NGV website.
What does my ticket include?
Your ticket includes entry to the CARTIER exhibition. General admission to NGV is free.
What is your refund policy?

What is the age limit for children's tickets?
Children’s tickets are available for ages 5–15. Children aged 0-4 years do not require a ticket.
Are children allowed to visit?
Children of all ages are warmly welcomed in the exhibition.
Is there pram access? What facilities are there for families?
Yes, the Gallery is fully pram accessible and you are welcome to take your pram into the Gallery spaces. Please use our free cloaking service to store any large bags that cannot be stored underneath prams. Baby change and feeding facilities are available in the Parents Room on the Ground Level. Breastfeeding is welcome anywhere you feel comfortable at NGV.
Is it wheelchair friendly? What facilities and services are there for disabled people?
Yes, the gallery spaces, accessible toilets and all public areas are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs and motorised scooters are available for free hire. The NGV International entrance is on street level.
The CARTIER exhibition presents an immersive experience using mirrors and reflective surfaces, lighting effects, large moving-image screens and a fairly loud soundtrack in places. Some gallery spaces have low lighting.
An Exhibition Access Guide and a Sensory Guide and Map will be available to help people with disability, neurodivergence or sensory sensitivities prepare for their visit. Relaxed Sessions offer an opportunity for visitors to experience a quieter Gallery with fewer people and reduced sensory stimuli. A Deaf-led Auslan tour will be presented during a Friday Nights program. A Social Story for children is available to introduce the NGV International building. Access aids such as fidget items and earplugs are available for free hire.

Do you accept Companion Cards?
The NGV recognises the Companion Card and the Carer Card. Companion Card holders receive concession priced tickets to all exhibitions and programs, and a complimentary ticket for their companion. What are parking and transport options?
Is there an area to leave personal belongings?
Any backpacks, large bags and umbrellas must be cloaked when you enter the Gallery, except for bags stored underneath a pram or wheelchair. The cloakroom facility is a free service.
Are food and drinks allowed in the exhibition?
Eating and drinking within the exhibition is not allowed, however personal water bottles with a top are permitted. NGV International offers a range of food and beverage options, including high tea from the Tea Room, fine dining at Garden Restaurant and light meals and hot drinks from Gallery Kitchen.
Are we able to take photographs?
Yes. Please refrain from using tripods, selfie sticks, flash or lighting equipment within the exhibition.
Will there be exhibition merchandise available?
Yes. At the NGV design store, you’ll find a CARTIER exhibition merchandise range.
How long will it take for me to go through the exhibition?
While exhibition visitation times may vary, we recommend allowing two hours to experience the full exhibition.
How do I make an education or group booking?
Do you offer CARTIER tours or introductory talks?
Public tours of CARTIER are offered Mon-Wed, Fri at 2,30PM and Thu at 10.30AM. Tours are free with your exhibition ticket. Capacity limits apply, please register at the information desk before the tour on the day of your visit.
Groups of 20 or more are welcome to book a private introductory talk, which will highlight iconic works and examine the craftsmanship, innovation and cultural forces shaping Cartier’s enduring designs.
