Physical description
		Border of flat needlepoint lace (punto in aria). The design of open scrolling and continuous floral stems is arranged to form points alternately of carnations and hyacinths and includes the Visconti crest (a crowned serpent), stags, hounds, peacocks and other plants and animals are introduced and the stems sometimes twist into two lover’s knots. Each eye of the animals is represented with a very small dark blue bead.
