Experience Melbourne Winter Masterpieces exhibition Van Gogh and the Seasons after hours at NGV Friday Nights. Enjoy a classical string quartet recital, drop-in to exhibition talks, grab a bite to eat and wrap up your night with a live performance in the Great Hall.

Doors open 6pm. Headline act from 8.30pm

HEADLINE: GROUPER (US)
Grouper is a project by ambient musician Liz Harris of Portland, Oregon, United States. Her music is described as surreal, melancholic and ethereal with uniquely delicate, dreamy vocals. Her critically acclaimed album ‘Ruins’, was recorded on a sojourn to Portugal with a portable 4-track, Sony stereo mic and an upright piano. At the NGV, Liz will perform songs from her catalogue of releases thus far.

PERFORMANCE: ALTO STRINGS
Alto Strings’ warm-toned and beautifully blended performances leave their audiences mesmerised and engaged. Alto Strings have performed with the Melbourne, Adelaide, Tasmanian & West Australian Symphony Orchestras including performances working with the late great Pavarotti, Harry Connick Jnr, KD Lang, Katy Perry, Hugh Jackman and Roberta Flack. Alto Strings are graduates of the Faculty of Victorian College of the Arts and Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, University of Melbourne.
